Refurbs During School Holidays

The safety of students and staff is our priority during refurbishment, as well as the ability of the school to continue functioning while works proceed. Our project managers are approachable on site to work through the challenges and concerns that may emerge on a school refurbishment project. With our experience in the education sector, we have developed efficient project management processes to better control the risks of refurbishing and building in a live school environment.

We are the live environment specialists, and have successfully completed many renovations in occupied buildings. We work closely with you to understand your schools specific needs during the refurbishment phase of the works.

We firstly have a meeting with you and your management, to discuss how your staff can continue to work as normal during the school renovations.
We draft a Construction and Building program showing which part of the works will be done during the school holidays.
We plan ahead to minimise any possible disruption caused by the school refurbishment works, such as noise and dust.
We meet with your IT manager/specialist to discuss how to coordinate the works involving IT.
We ensure all essential services such as air-conditioning, fire protection, electrical and data services are operational during the school renovation works.
If required we can install sound-reducing hoardings between the works area and your operational school space.
If required noisy refurb works can be performed outside normal school hours.
We then finalise the construction program for your school refurbishment, showing all critical dates.

This school refurbishment project for Guildford Public School was inside their kindergarten hall. The project involved transforming an outdated and worn-out learning space into a modern and functional collaborative learning centre for teachers.
